Staff Accountant - Operational

Reporting to theTeam Lead Operational Accounting, this role is ideal forsomeoneself-motivatedwho thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about process improvement, automation, and technical excellence.
What you'll do:
Execute monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and analytical reviews.
Perform and document SOX controls related to accounting and reporting processes, including designingor testingnew processes and controls to support business or systems changes.
Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance with quarterly and annual audit requirements.
Review, andupdate standard operating procedures for accounting processes and tasks.
Partner with cross-functional teamsto streamline accounting workflowsand implement orsupport automation.
Partner with cross functional teams, especially FP&A, to ensureappropriate accountingfor expenditures, includingappropriate classificationand timing.
UnderstandUS GAAPand key accounting concepts.
Ability to work within definedSLA’sfor processing and response time for key reviews of operational data.
Understanding of corporate accounting concepts,including but not limited to, prepaid and accrued expense processes, intercompany and consolidation accounting, long-lived assets (property and equipment, intangibleassets, capitalized costs), foreign currency,debtand derivatives.
Skilled in reviewingsuppliercontractsand invoices todetermineterms, assessproperclassification between expense items and identification of capital (fixed assets) versus operating expense (support) purchasesto ensureaccurateaccounting treatment.
What you'll bring:
2-3 years of relevant accounting and/or industry experience; Big 4Auditexperience preferred.
Fluency in US GAAP and ability to research complex accounting issues
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated drive for excellence.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal, with afocusonofeffective collaboration in team and matrixed environments.
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability towork within defined calendars andSLA’s.
Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Workday, Blackline,andHyperionpreferred.
