JOB TITLE: Solutions Architect (GC202401) POSITION DUTIES: Oversee the design and building of tools for automating management of data platform infrastructure. Maintain data center and manage servers using tools and automating code. Provide Data Modeling expertise by authoring DDL and DML SQL spanning technical stacks. Provide Data Transformation experience by guiding team members on design, discovery, and troubleshooting for data transformation code (joins, cleansing, derivations). Responsible for automation strategies spanning multiple clients, Stories in agile development, and for escalating issues assigned to junior team members. Plan and coordinate maintenance activities in the cluster environment, including adding nodes, decommissioning nodes, restarting services, installation, patching, configuration, deployment. Uses: Hadoop, Java, Powershell, Spark, Puppet, Kudu, Python, .Net, Scala, Ansible, Cloudera. May require occasional travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the United States. Position may include a telecommuting benefit from anywhere in the United States. Multiple positions open. REQUIREMENTS: At least a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field and three (3) years of experience in data engineering (any title) including automating code for Hadoop environments; administering Linux and Windows servers; planning, coordinating, and implementing network security measures for data centers and hosted servers; performing shell scripting; and utilizing Java, Puppet, .Net, Ansible, Python, Cloudera, and Powershell. May require occasional travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the United States. Position may include a telecommuting benefit from anywhere in the United States.
