Senior Product Manager - Billing Automation
The Opportunity:
If you’ve ever tried to find an in-network therapist — or supported someone who has — you know how broken and frustrating insurance and billing can be. At Grow, we believe insurance should be the easiest part of a patient’s mental health journey..
As a Senior Product Manager on our Billing Automation team, you’ll own one of the most complex and mission-critical areas of our platform: how therapy claims are submitted, processed, and reconciled with insurance. This is a chance to tackle a deeply messy, real-world problem and build systems that meaningfully improve the experience for providers, patients, and the business.
You’ll work closely with a strong engineering team and cross-functional partners to modernize the revenue cycle and help shape the future of mental health care infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing:
Own the roadmap and strategy for our Claims Engine, building an intelligent, scalable platform that handles claims submission, reconciliation, APIs, automations, and core data models.
Design and evolve Grow’s revenue cycle system, from claim creation through adjudication and payment reconciliation.
Identify opportunities to use automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve accuracy, reduce manual work, and scale collections intelligently.
Dive deep into the claims lifecycle to uncover gaps, data inconsistencies, and inefficiencies — and turn those insights into meaningful product improvements.
Partner closely with engineering, revenue cycle, finance, and other product teams to ensure we’re meeting both user and business goals.
You'll Be A Good Fit If:
Product experience: 5+ years in a product management role where you owned the full strategy of your end-to-end surface area. Experience with financial systems, billing or revenue cycle is helpful but not required.
AI/ML experience: Experience shipping AI/ML-powered products, including working with highly complex datasets to improve system performance, accuracy, or efficiency. Comfortable translating real-world problems into model-driven solutions, evaluating tradeoffs, and iterating based on outcomes.
Systems thinking: Comfort working on data-heavy, workflow-driven products and understanding how changes ripple through systems.
Technical fluency: Able to partner deeply with engineers, reason about APIs and data models, and use SQL or similar tools to inform decisions.
Strong prioritization instincts: You know how to balance short-term wins with long-term platform investments and focus on what drives the most impact.
User empathy: You enjoy talking to users, especially internal teams, and translating real pain points into thoughtful product solutions.
Adaptability: You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, learning quickly, and adjusting as new information emerges.
Role Details:
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is Hybrid Commitment: $182,000–$227,000 USD Annually Fully Remote Commitment: $152,000–$189,000 USD Annually
This role can be hybrid (onsite from our NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle hub location three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) or fully remote. Both arrangements include travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites). The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.
