Reporting to the Platform Evolution Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and supporting advanced infrastructure solutions for our rapidly growing platform. Your expertise will drive the next generation of our infrastructure strategy, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and secure.
This fully remote position (you can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo's headquarters in NYC) requires participation in an on-call rotation to ensure seamless operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Champion infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, implementing high-impact changes independently.
Manage multiple Kubernetes clusters running containerized microservices
Design and implement automated processes for infrastructure and environment needs.
Collaborate with Platform and Software Engineers to resolve complex platform issues and develop sustainable solutions.
Own identified platform issues, researching root causes and implementing resolution strategies.
Monitor system performance, identify emerging problems, and optimize system performance.
Lead large, complex projects to successful delivery.
Mentor team members and expand the organization's engineering knowledge.
What We'll Expect From You
7+ years of experience in a similar role
Extensive experience with AWS technologies and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects and drive technical initiatives.
Capable of effectively debugging and troubleshooting complex systems.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (such as TeamCity, GHA, Octopus, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Github, Gitlab), automation processes, and scripting languages such as BASH, Python, or PowerShell.
Proficient in Linux and Windows server administration.
Effective collaborator and mentor with strong communication skills.
Knowledgeable in security and compliance best practices.
Experience with AWS Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) and supporting related technologies.
