Senior Automation Analyst - GTM Engineering
POS-29714
HubSpot's Sales Automation Team is looking for a results-oriented Senior Automation Analyst who believes in continuously modernizing our processes as a catalyst for sustained business performance.
As our Senior Automation Analyst, you will design, build, and scale AI-powered automations that measurably improve GTM - increasing rep productivity, accelerating pipeline velocity and unlocking new efficiency across our sales motion.
This role bridges strategy and execution. You’ll not only build impactful automations but also help shape the roadmap for how automation and AI drive scale within HubSpot’s go-to-market engine.
About the Role
HubSpot is accelerating toward an AI-first operating mode and our team is at the center of that shift. We’re embedding technical builders close to the business to uncover the highest impact opportunities, test fast, and scale what works. Successful Automation Analysts are both strategic thinkers and hands-on builders. They:
See the big picture. Understanding how automation and AI shape the future of selling.
Turn insights into action. Translating ambiguous problems into scalable automations and AI driven solutions.
Build with confidence. Combining sound technical judgment with hands-on execution to turn ideas into working systems.
Collaborate deeply across stakeholders to understand challenges, iterate quickly and launch impactful solutions.
Communicate with influence. Translating technical potential into business impact.
You’ll work directly with Sales, RevOps, and Product teams to spot opportunities, define strategy, and ship end-to-end automations primarily in Workato (and other low-code platforms), with the range to drop into Python/JavaScript/SQL when needed.
You’ll operate as a Super Contributor who owns the loop: design → build → test → learn → communicate → scale.
What you’ll do (core responsibilities)
Identify and prioritize high impact automation and AI opportunities across the sales ecosystem.
Perform hands-on technical work - prototyping and deploying solutions using Workato, HubSpot Workflows, Breeze Studio, and code-based integrations. Leverage modern AI coding assistants (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, Replit) to troubleshoot and stitch solutions.
Build AI integrated automations and Agentic capabilities, leveraging LLMs and other tools to supercharge the rep experience.
Operate with ownership - go beyond execution - perform your own analysis, surface insight and make recommendations that influence how we approach strategic initiatives
Influence through expertise - represent perspective in cross-functional discussions - contributing to roadmap decisions, pilot design and scaling strategy.
Document and share reusable frameworks and components to accelerate how we build and learn as a team.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years professional experience (ideally in SaaS) in Automation, RevOps, Solutions/Systems, or adjacent engineering/analytics roles.
Proven delivery with iPaaS/low-code tools (e.g. Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft) and hands on integration experience via APIs and ETL.
Proficiency in SQL.
Comfortable working with code (Python or JavaScript preferred) - able to script, debug, and prototype.
Curiosity, analytical rigor and a love of learning by building - especially as AI unlocks new ways to grow.
Clear, concise communicator who can translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on with AI tooling (LLMs, vector/RAG, prompt design, evaluation).
Experience with Looker or comparable BI tooling.
Exposure to modern software/dev practices (git, CI/CD, environments, secrets, observability).
