Engineering Intern - Platform
The Role:
The Platform Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting infrastructure and developer tooling initiatives across Gametime’s platform. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience with real-world cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and developer enablement practices within a high-scale production environment. The ideal candidate is a curious and proactive learner eager to gain practical skills in automation, DevOps, and cloud-native development.
Above & Beyond: The Impact You'll Make:
Collaborate with Platform Engineers to improve and extend Terraform modules and internal tooling
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by enhancing workflows and adding automation for quality gates
Support observability efforts by building dashboards, adding alerting, and integrating metrics
Assist with documentation, onboarding tools, and scripts that support developer experience
Participate in planning and standups to gain exposure to infrastructure design and trade-offs

Technical Skills:
Exposure to public cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Comfort with Bash, Python, or Go for small tooling tasks.
Understanding of containers, basic networking, and infrastructure lifecycle.
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to pair program, follow feedback, and ask thoughtful questions.
Capable of documenting work clearly and discussing technical topics with peers.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
Uses logs, metrics, or guides to investigate and resolve simple issues.
Approaches challenges with a desire to learn and understand the bigger picture.
Looks beyond the surface to find the root cause of problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science or related field.
Experience: Entry level
Other Requirements:
Familiarity with the CLI on Linux systems
Experience using Git
Strong written and verbal communication skills
