Workday Financials Analyst
The Workday Financials Analyst is responsible for the ownership, configuration, and continuous improvement of Blackbaud’s financial and procurement systems, primarily Workday. This role partners closely with Procurement, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury teams to enable efficient, compliant, and scalable Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes through strong system design, disciplined delivery, and effective operational support.
Through strong partnerships and collaboration, you will help uncover what’s possible in the system and driving automation across the procurement lifecycle, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s compliance, audit and operational standards.
What you'll do:
System Configuration and Delivery
Responsible for configuring Workday functionality supporting Procure to Pay, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Governance, Expense, AP, and related financial integrations
Lead system design for purchasing, supplier lifecycle, expense and payment workflows
Partner with Accounting and Tax to ensure appropriate sales and use tax configuration and compliance within procurement and AP processes
Collaborating with internal customers to define deployment expectations and ensure consistency with strategic direction and map opportunities to improve workflows
Translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories through backlog refinement and prioritization
Plan and execute Workday release management, including testing strategies and deployment coordination
Drive continuous improvement by leveraging new Workday capabilities and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and user experience
Operational Support & Process Improvements
Provide support via ServiceNow, including troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues
Define deployment expectations and support consistent adoption of system changes
Ensure minimal business disruption through timely issue resolution and clear communication
Maintain data accuracy and integrity through defined data maintenance processes and audits
Develop and maintain process documentation, job aids and work instructions
Support audit and compliance requirements through well documented, repeatable processes
What you'll bring:
Knowledge of Procure to Pay, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Governance
Experience in Workday Financial systems technical support role
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable plans
Proven collaboration skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Continual learner who stays abreast of current trends and practices
Ability to learn and support additional Financial systems and workflows as needed
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively organize and communicate
Root cause analysis and complex problem-solving skills
Self-starter mindset with a desire to identify optimal solutions and share learnings
