Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Team

The Security and Privacy Technical Program Management team is a force multiplier; we partner closely with engineering, product and business teams across Netflix to deliver results. We collaborate cross functionally to align on strategic goals and vision, and then we work with the right stakeholders to establish and drive impactful initiatives.

The Role

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Security initiatives! In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end security integration of acquired entities, ensuring robust protection of assets, data and intellectual property throughout the M&A lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Security and Privacy, Legal, N-Tech, Engineering and Business Units, to build security roadmaps for each M&A and deliver secure and seamless transitions.

We are leaning into the “T” (Technical) for this role. By technical, we mean that the ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the overall security domain and ability to gain a technical understanding of programs across their lifecycle. TPMs must be skilled at both strategy and execution as well as have depth in their technical domain.

Onboard, you will ensure new and ongoing M&A projects achieve their desired integration targets on time. You will partner with Security Engineering, Enterprise Technology, Product, and M&A teams to define integration blueprints, streamline tooling deployment, and remove friction across multiple concurrent acquisitions. Over time, you will build automation and playbooks to shorten integration timelines, reduce manual effort, and improve the consistency and maturity of post-acquisition security operations. In addition, you will be responsible for conducting a “state of the union” assessment for current acquisitions, defining tailored security roadmaps for each M&A, and driving execution to address identified security posture gaps. Your work will ensure that each integration not only meets baseline requirements but also advances the overall security maturity of the organization.

Desired Background

  • You are passionate about leading by influence and advocating for change.

  • You have a demonstrated ability to establish a vision and to execute on it.

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear articulation of business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience.

  • You are able to triage multiple initiatives to make a judgment to tackle the right problems at the right time.

  • You have an ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches and weigh-in on product vs technology tradeoffs.

  • You have familiarity with product security principles and best practices, and have developed and driven security initiatives such as building platform wide authentication systems, authorization at scale, etc.

  • Proven success driving large-scale security or infrastructure programs across multiple teams.

  • Strong understanding of core security domains (IAM, endpoint, cloud, network, data protection, compliance).

  • Background in post-acquisition integration or large-scale enterprise transformations is a plus.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.
