While the company is headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, employees are spread out across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Staff enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and fun.

Our Team Culture

Our employees are motivated, adaptable, persistent, hard-working, and dynamic. Our culture permeates everything we do and this, in turn with a global vision, forms a commitment to each other, our customers, and shareholders alike.

The Role

Megaport is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist ready to take the next step in their career. This role offers the opportunity to lead recruitment efforts across North and South America, aligning hiring strategies with our global business goals. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager in Brisbane, Australia, this remote position allows you to own talent acquisition and drive hiring initiatives in your region. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to understand their needs, create innovative solutions, and provide a seamless candidate experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  You will also have the opportunity to expand your impact by supporting global hiring efforts in Europe and Australia.

This is more than just a recruitment role—it’s a chance to contribute to meaningful HR projects and play a key role in Megaport’s success. You’ll have the autonomy to shape how we attract and hire top talent while working alongside a supportive, high-performing team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partnering with hiring managers across various functions and timezones (Sales, Technology, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Legal) to attract top talent.

  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, contract negotiations, and onboarding.

  • Acting as a trusted advisor; conducting recruitment kick-off meetings and guiding managers through the hiring process, providing market insights to hiring teams on talent trends and opportunities.

  • Sourcing candidates through diverse channels, including professional networks, social media, and events.

  • Coordinating the creation of job descriptions, screening guides, and evaluation tools.

  • Ensuring a high-quality candidate experience that reflects Megaport’s culture.

  • Overseeing the onboarding of your new hires, including pre-hire compliance to ensure a smooth start.

  • Fostering a recruitment culture that actively involves team members in attracting and securing top talent, while promoting an environment of continuous improvement and best practices to ensure an efficient and innovative recruitment process

  • Leading recruitment initiatives both internally and externally, including referral programs, social media campaigns, and in-person events.

  • Supporting other People & Culture team projects and initiatives as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2 to 3+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment (ideally within an external agency, tech or high-growth company).

  • A proactive recruiter with a keen eagerness to learn, and a can-do attitude and growth mindset.

  • Experience with ATS systems and recruitment tools, such as Lever, Workday, and LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Adaptability in scaling environments, ability to navigate shifting priorities and business needs with ease.

  • Proven skills in building strong relationships with hiring managers and cross-functional teams, providing strategic recruitment support.

  • Proven track record of meeting hiring goals while maintaining a focus on quality, diversity, and a positive candidate experience.

  • Ability to act as a cultural ambassador for Megaport, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and reliability to the team.

  • A demonstrated results-driven and goal-oriented approach to recruitment, balancing speed and precision to attract top talent.

  • A highly organised and collaborative individual who thrives in dynamic environments while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Passion for contributing to continuous improvement of People & Culture processes and supporting broader team initiatives.
