As a Software Engineer on the Medical Impact team, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau dashboards to enhance the understanding of healthcare data. Your work will directly support our flagship HCPU product offering by enabling more effective data-driven decisions. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver Tableau-based data visualization solutions through well-designed and intuitive user-friendly dashboards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT H1

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including, product engineers, data engineers, product managers, and executive and business stakeholders, to deeply understand user needs. This collaboration will enable you to create and manage Tableau-based data visualizations and dashboards effectively. Your contributions will be crucial in providing optimal solutions that align with both our product goals and specific user needs, all while ensuring timely delivery. 

You will:

- Partner with stakeholders to provide the best solutions that meet both user needs and business goals

- Connect and import data from various sources and ensure data cleanliness and accuracy throughout preprocessing and quality checks

- Design and develop interactive Tableau dashboards tailored to the specific needs of medical professionals, researchers, or policy makers

- Collaborate with team members to understand their data visualization needs and how they interact with the data to make informed decisions

- Create visualizations that make complex data understandable at a glance, including trends in patient outcomes, disease spread, or resource allocation

- Utilize advanced Tableau features like calculated fields, parameters, and dynamic components to enhance interactivity and user engagement

- Optimize dashboards to ensure quick load times and responsiveness, especially when handling large datasets or accessing dashboards through mobile devices

- Participate in regular meetings to report on dashboard performance, user engagement, and potential improvements

ABOUT YOU

You should possess a strong understanding of Tableau and demonstrate proficiency in data visualization and data modeling. Basic Python skills are also beneficial. This role offers a unique opportunity for candidates to leverage their skills holistically and advance towards a career as a data engineer

REQUIREMENTS

-2 years of experience with Tableau, complemented by an understanding of computer science fundamentals.

- Knowledge of Python and PySpark is preferred

- Strong expertise in data visualization and data modeling

- Fundamental knowledge of AWS environments is preferred
