SWE II - Care Delivery (Full Stack)
The Opportunity:
The Care Delivery team focuses on the 167 hours between therapy sessions, where the majority of a client’s mental health journey actually happens. Our mission is to deepen the therapeutic relationship and improve clinical outcomes by enabling providers to support their clients with structured, personalized support throughout the week. We build tools that help clients stay engaged, track their progress, and reflect meaningfully between sessions. We also equip therapists with actionable insights that help them show up fully prepared for each client encounter. Our work bridges the gap between sessions to create a more continuous, effective therapeutic experience.
What You'll Be Doing: You’ll learn from a deeply collaborative team that balances empathy, technical excellence, and humility. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a system used in more than 10 million therapy sessions to date.
Build and scale internal tooling that streamlines and empowers clinical teams to support with product development.
Enhance personalization and insights across the client and provider experience. You will integrate human-in-the-loop AI workflows and use industry best practices (evals, LLM-as-judge) to maintain quality and safety, while removing provider administrative burden.
Address technical scaling challenges around growing our systems to support increasing load as we scale toward universal access. You will partner with our internal Telehealth Platform team to incorporate the latest session workflows and ensure a seamless in-session experience.
You'll Be a Good Fit if:
Must haves:
2+ years of professional experience: You’ve made meaningful contributions to production systems and can effectively own scoped development work with guidance.
Full-stack fluency: You’re comfortable building end-to-end features across backend services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces.
Impact-oriented: You think deeply about the “why” behind your work and optimize for meaningful user and business outcomes.
Adaptable: You can remain productive and effective amid evolving priorities, requirements, and insights.
Team player: You work well with others, communicate with empathy, and value shared problem-solving.
Bonus Points:
Familiarity with our stack: Experience with Python on the backend and React on the frontend.
Healthcare experience: Experience working in regulated environments or handling sensitive data (HIPAA).
AI-fluent or AI-curious: Comfort using modern AI tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, etc) to accelerate development and focus on high-leverage work.
Engineering Team Principles:
You own what you build. You will feel ownership of the code you write, articulate the importance of the feature, and follow up to ensure it's successful.
We build solutions for our providers and clients. We write code to solve user problems, not just for the sake of solving technical problems.
You are not part of the tech team, but rather part of the team itself! Grow is a tech-enabled business and not a pure software business, so understanding how the business works is integral to your job.
Role Details:
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is Hybrid Commitment: $145,000–$165,000 USD Annually Fully Remote Commitment: $120,000–$134,000 USD Annually
This role can be hybrid (onsite from our NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle hub location three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) or fully remote. Both arrangements include travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites). The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.
