Given our exceptional growth, we are expanding and hiring a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to join us on this exciting journey. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is a service owner, deploying new services, monitoring their health, and responding to incidents. As a senior member of the IT team they mentor more junior members of the team and work to streamline and improve IT tools, processes, and procedures.
Responsibilities
Create and manage service integrations using PowerShell, Terraform, and Python
Deploy and own new services
Monitor service health and respond to incidents
Provide assistance, guidance, and mentorship to analyst roles
Engage in practice development activities by developing tools, improving processes, and developing training material
Maintain backups and perform disaster recovery procedures
General network troubleshooting for small business locations
Provide tier 3 support
Create advanced automations for tasks and workflows
Perform infrastructure/maintenance changes while adhering to change management processes
Manage/audit user access to data and systems
Perform information security review activities
Design and implement projects
Assessing current systems to secure best practices and compliance with internal policies and external entity requirements including our entire Microsoft ecosystem
Serve as a configuration manager to create, apply, and enforce processes for promoting all infrastructure components from the development environment to the testing, demonstrating, and production environments.
Various day-to-day tasks or projects as assigned by leadership
Requirements
Associates or Bachelors Degree in IT or a related field OR 6+ years relevant professional experience
One or more certifications in a relevant domain, preferred
Experience with Cloud/IaaS administration
Demonstrated knowledge of networking
Experience with backup/DR systems
Prior experience with Salesforce preferred
Demonstrated experience with Linux/Windows server
Demonstrates solid judgement in decision making that positively impacts users, projects, and Bishop Fox
Excels at process building with a demonstrated ability to create templates and documentation for new processes
Provides excellent customer service to internal customers and vendors
Navigates unusual hours and last-minute requests with flexibility and calm
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excels at building professional trust and maintaining confidentiality
Team player mentality with the ability to work as a self-motivated individual contributor
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Excellent time management skills and focus
