Pinterest is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist to join our Communications team. In this role, you’ll support executive and internal communications for senior leaders and key business priorities, helping shape clear, thoughtful messaging that connects leadership voice to employee audiences and company goals. This is a high-impact opportunity to work closely with some of the most senior executives at Pinterest while building the processes and operating rhythms that make the work more effective and scalable.

This role reports directly to the Executive Communications Leader.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead executive and internal communications workstreams for senior leaders and priority initiatives, developing clear, high-quality messaging aligned to company priorities, established policies and communications best practices.
  • Draft and edit a range of materials including leadership messages, presentations, talking points, org updates, event remarks and communications for high-visibility and sensitive moments.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, ABPs, Chiefs of Staff, HR and Communications teammates to align messaging, drive execution and support thoughtful decision-making.
  • Build communications plans for internal moments including org updates, leadership engagements, change-related communications and company or team-wide events.
  • Support communications planning and project management for major internal and external events, including executive visibility opportunities involving senior leaders.
  • Establish and improve processes, templates, planning mechanisms and review workflows that increase consistency, quality and speed across executive and internal communications.
  • Use AI and automation opportunities to improve team operations, reduce repeatable work and strengthen communications planning and execution at scale.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications or public relations.
  • 6+ years of experience working on an in-house communications team or PR agency. Tech experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in executive communications, internal communications or strategic communications in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working with C-suite executives or other senior leaders, including supporting high-visibility communications with sound judgment, discretion and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work and building effective partnerships across teams such as Marketing, ABPs, Chiefs of Staff, HR and Communications.
  • Experience project managing complex communications workstreams or events with multiple stakeholders, shifting timelines and high standards for execution.
  • Experience supporting large-scale internal events or external events involving senior leaders, such as industry conferences, leadership summits or similar tentpole moments.
  • Experience in media relations or external communications, including partnering with PR teams to support media prep, executive visibility or externally facing messaging.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role.
  • There is no set in-office requirement for the role, though candidates who live near a Pinterest office may be expected to attend in-person meetings or key moments when senior leaders or stakeholders are in town.
