The Team

Heartbeat Team owns TrueML’s patented decision engine and the surrounding system.

As owners of the “Heart” of TrueML’s operations, we are challenging the old collection strategies by providing exceptional customer experience and making the repayment process as painless as possible. On a daily basis, the team typically deals with a wide variety of tasks: streaming and microservices, A/B testing, and internal tool building. Some of our tech stack includes Sceptre, Amazon ECS, AWS Lambdas and Kinesis.

You will be part of a highly collaborative and competent team where we highly value code quality and maintainability, have a rigorous code review process, and favor a highly collaborative approach to project execution. You will get a chance to try your hand at a variety of projects while making a positive difference for millions of Americans in debt. 

In this role you will:

• Write high-quality, unit-tested code 

• Build highly scalable distributed services 

• Collaborate with product and business owners on requirements 

• Learn new things and contribute new ideas

• Effectively communicate complex systems to stakeholders

• Contribute to overall engineering initiatives, including the evolution of our tech stack

A successful candidate will have the following experience/skills:

• Proficiency with Python 

• Insatiable desire for continuous learning and continuous improvement. 

• Great interpersonal skills and you enjoy working with members of other teams 

• Interest in data driven architecture and streaming technology 

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills 

• Strong communication skills 

You may also have:

• Experience with Infrastructure and cloud services 

• A desire to make a difference 

• A team player that shares ideas and elevates others 

$54,927 - $85,337 a year

Compensation Disclosure: his information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national/regional data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
