At MyFitnessPal, we believe good health starts with what you eat. We provide tools, resources and support to enable users to reach their health goals.

Product Analytics is responsible for applying data and analytics to drive business growth and profitability across the organization. It is broadly responsible for creating growth through i) improving the customer’s digital experience ii) marketing efficiency, customer acquisition and customer retention, and iii) providing reporting and other tools to increase the application of data-driven decision-making across the entire organization.

Join MyFitnessPal's Product Analytics team as a Sr. Analyst, where you will be instrumental in driving business growth and profitability. You will specialize in product experimentation, measurement, and data-driven decision-making, partnering directly with the Lifecycle Management team to craft strategies that significantly improve user retention.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform large-scale hypothesis testing and statistical analysis to find which solution will bring the best results; including AB and multivariate testing, and pre/post or difference-in-difference analysis

    • Participate in a product team ‘squad’ and advise on hypothesis design, primary success metrics, and secondary metrics, which could inform deeper learning or future iterations of a feature

    • Collaborate with product to set up analytics tracking necessary to get them the insights that they need

    • Be the last line of defense as we sanity-check variants and test setup

    • Create clear and easy-to-understand analysis and recommendations

  • Develop solutions for communicating data across various stakeholders by leading requirements collection, metrics definition, data extraction and manipulation, design of dashboards and ad hoc reports

  • Partner with product leadership to solve business problems and identify trends for growth opportunities (i.e. suggest new analyses, experiments, user cohorts)

  • Most importantly, be a trusted partner to our product managers and help them succeed in their mission to improve our product

Qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years of technology industry experience within an analytics function, including at least 3 years working with deep technical expertise and experience in Product Analytics (A/B Testing)

  • Expert-level SQL; experience with Python/R is a plus

  • Advanced capabilities and experience with BI tools. Amplitude and Tableau experience preferred

  • Experience with project management and supporting relationships with internal stakeholders (Product, Data Engineering)

  • Superb communication skills with leaders in multi-functional roles and ability to condense complicated data sets into concise and actionable stories

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as statistics, computer science or mathematics. Advanced degrees preferred

Values you’ll model

  • Be Kind and Care — build with empathy; assume positive intent; support teammates and members.

  • Live Good Health — champion healthy habits and balance in how we work and what we ship.

  • Be Data-Inspired — ground decisions in research and data; measure what matters.

  • Champion Change — lean into ambiguity; iterate, learn, and improve continuously.

  • Leave it Better than You Found It — raise quality, clarify systems, and document as you go.

  • Make It Happen — bias to action; deliver impact with craft and accountability.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $120,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
