YOUR TEAM

We build technology to enable users (from data scientists to analysts to policy-makers) to understand healthcare data while ensuring its integrity, security and privacy. Our work runs the gamut from joining streams of messy real-world data to building queryable data warehouses to constructing visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insight. We build systems that are auditable, automated, an accurate representation of the underlying data, and, most importantly, responsive to our end users' needs. We strive for a creative, collaborative engineering environment that implements best practices of peer review, readability, maintainability, and security of the code base and infrastructure.

Production Applications builds the web applications that provide the essential reporting needed to operate value-based care programs  and evaluate their effectiveness. We’re a full stack team that owns serving schema up to the customer-facing UI. We strive to ensure enterprise-grade stability and startup-grade velocity by instrumenting a well-tested code base and infrastructure that is secure-by-default.

This role is open to remote, but preference is given to candidates located in these areas: San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle Metro Area, Boston Metro Area, and New York City, NY.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building performant, well-documented, scalable APIs that can answer the complex questions our users have about their data

  • Partnering with other engineers to solve complex business and engineering problems

  • Designing schemas in partnership with the data engineers and health data experts that can quickly serve results and generate reports

  • Building a well-tested, continuously-deployable, and high-quality codebase that supports developer velocity and exceptional reliability

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Passionate about our mission: improving healthcare access and affordability for all

  • Curiosity for learning, being a self-starter who is eager to try new things

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as python, java, javascript or other relevant languages

  • 2+ years of experience in a full-time software engineering role

  • Excellent debugging and data analysis skills with real experience problem-solving with data

  • Ability to write clearly and document their ideas

  • Passionate about writing high-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud technologies

  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing

  • Experience with data in healthcare, fintech, or other similar industries.

  • Experience working on compliant and secure systems, in partnership with audit, legal, and security

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
