**Candidate Note: This position is 100% remote for candidates based in the US, and will be a 12 month contract position**
Job Summary
As a Full Stack Engineer you will be a member of the team and get the opportunity to work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.
What your impact will be:
Developing practical, easy-to-use tooling and processes
Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development, testing, and build systems
Improving the performance and usability of existing tools and automated systems
Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems
Documenting and evangelizing tooling for use by engineers for the development, testing, and packaging of their products
What you will bring:
Experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Packer
Strong experience in eliminating tedious work for all engineers
Experience with frontend development utilizing React
Experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures
Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment
Experience developing, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team
Strong problem-solving skills
Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills
What will give you an edge:
Experience with Observability Systems
Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes
In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies
In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
Experience working within a “you build it, you own it” culture
Compensation (DOE/Location): $60-80/hr. max
