**Candidate Note-this is a 100% remote role for candidates based in Brazil with strong English written/verbal communication skills*
We are looking for a Software Engineer in Brazil to add to our database infrastructure team that will be responsible for helping us develop, maintain and support our open source Postgres in addition to our in-house variants of Postgres.
The role will also involve on-call duties in a rotation one week/every 6-7 weeks.
Your impact will be:
Being part of the open source Postgres community helping the community thrive by responding to questions, reviewing code and contributing features to the projects(s).
Being part of an internal global development team helping define schedules and meet target delivery dates for new releases.
Working with our world class support team to resolve customer issues and provide training for new product releases.
Writing regression tests for both newly reported bugs and new features.
Helping grow our test automation team via our CI/CD pipeline.
Be part of a regular on call rotation. (Not more than once every 6 weeks).
Work on proprietary variants of Postgres for EDB (not more than 50% of your time).
What you will bring:
Excellent programming skills in C or a similar language is a must.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
What will give you an edge:
Scripting experience with Perl or Python desired.
Prior Postgres or database internals development experience a big plus.
