About the Role:  

The defense and intel pod is looking for a full-stack Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for building systems and integrating with our federal customers. In this role, you will work with multiple internal teams to build our next generation integration platform that will drive our next decade of growth. Your work will be highly visible and will directly impact the ability of customers to get faster access to Planet’s unprecedented datasets as well as streamline the internal processes for adding new customers to our platform. The ideal candidate would have full-stack experience, with experience owning frontend on a project.

Impact You’ll Own:

• Build and maintain integration tools which serve our enterprise and federal customers

• Manage architecture and ensure availability of services

• Build new services and features to support Planet’s growing platform

• Fortify our deployment pipeline and production service monitoring capabilities

• Help to define, create and analyze usage metrics to drive customer growth

• Participate in team on-call rotation to support production services

What You Bring:

• Expertise with React & Material UI

• Experience owning and transforming modern front end codebases

• Fluency in Golang, Python, PostgreSQL, & React or related technologies

• Full stack application development experience (Database, Services, Web)

• Proven cross-functional collaboration skills (Product & Design)

• Passion for improving developer velocity

• Experience scaling and maintaining production systems

• 6+ years industry experience

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $124,000 - $203,000.  Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location.  The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
