JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a great Cloud Native Senior Software Engineer specialized in Go who possesses a strong understanding of how best to leverage Go to build and run compelling, user-centric, API driven applications on Kubernetes.
What your impact will be:
You will report to the Development Manager of our EDB Postgres AI Cloud Service Observability team.
Work in our Multi-Cloud Management team, designing, developing and selecting technology for our next generation management software, which runs as a “kube native” application in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments or as an on prem application.
Be part of a team that owns all phases of the product development life cycle, from conception to delivery to customers, including support/operation if required.
Build quality and security directly into the product, by taking advantage of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with engineering teams across the world, mentor, share information with and learn from other engineers and help drive continuous improvement of our platform, without losing focus on the flow that generates customers’ value.
Bring an inquisitive, innovative & collegiate attitude to problem solving.
What you will bring:
5+ years experience as a developer in Go/Python or any other Object oriented programming. (Minimum 2 years of experience in Go required).
Written non-trivial Go apps, deployed to solve real word, mission-critical problems.
Experience creating solution architecture of large-scale Observability platforms.
Experience in monitoring tools like Prometheus and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of Microservices and Container Orchestration.
Experience with designing and implementing log observability, metrics collections, metrics streaming services
What will give you an edge:
Understanding of the Postgres ecosystem, used/managed Postgres.
“Full stack” development experience.
Modern software development tools & architectures (ex: REST, graphql, gitops)
Scripting languages such as Python, and developer tools like openapi, tekton
Experience in a TDD environment, and the experience to know when testing is sufficient
Have worked in a “you build it you run it” environment, familiarity with DevOps/SRE
