Team Mission

Customer Risk Mitigation is about closing access and compliance gaps that would otherwise lead to total spend withdrawal. We safeguard advertiser trust and revenue continuity by embedding compliance-by-design across the ads stack.

About the Team

The Customer Risk Mitigation team builds customer‑first controls that give enterprise advertisers the confidence to invest on Reddit. Our mandate is to reduce risk for advertisers by delivering the identity, access, governance, transparency, and audit tools they need to satisfy their own compliance standards and internal reviews. We partner closely with Ads Policy, Legal, Privacy Engineering, Trust & Safety, Sales, and Infrastructure to embed preventative controls and clear accountability into ad creation, delivery, and measurement.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Ads Policy, Legal, Privacy, Sales, and Infrastructure teams to translate requirements into resilient technical designs and measurable outcomes that reduce churn and protect revenue.

  • Design and build IAM and compliance services enabling federated auth, least‑privilege access models, domain verification, and multi‑business/org-level views.

  • Deliver admin self‑serve tooling for compliance related configuration in Business Manager.

  • Build transparency and auditability primitives (immutable logs, decision rationales, disclosures, etc.) and region‑specific interfaces (e.g., EU transparency databases).

  • Own services end‑to‑end: technical design, implementation, testing, observability, SLOs, incident response, and iterative hardening.

Qualifications

Role Specific Requirements

  • Experience building reviewer/operations tools, workflows, and evidence trails for audits.

  • Proven cross‑functional collaboration with Policy/Legal/Privacy and product stakeholders in ambiguous problem spaces.

  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL datastores (e.g., Postgres, BigQuery, Cassandra) and caches (e.g., Redis).

Preferred

  • Ads domain experience (ad delivery, targeting, measurement, verification) or trust/safety/compliance systems.
