Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our [Department / Practice] team. In this role, you will own and orchestrate large, complex, multi-workstream data and AI programs for strategic customers, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and with clear, measurable business value. You will collaborate closely with clients, sales, delivery leadership, and cross-functional technical teams to align roadmaps, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed and engaged. You will also help scale and mature our delivery organization by building future leaders, strengthening governance, and continuously improving how we deliver programs across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Own and drive complex, multi-workstream data and AI programs for phData’s largest strategic accounts from discovery through execution and scale, ensuring alignment to client objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable data and AI roadmaps with clear milestones, connecting architecture, engineering, and delivery work to business value.
  • Manage scope, timelines, budgets, and resources (architects, engineers, and other delivery roles) across multiple concurrent customers while maintaining high utilization and delivery quality.
  • Ensure rigorous project and program governance through operating cadences, clear RACI, risk/issue/decision logs, change control, and stakeholder communication plans.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks across delivery, scope, and resourcing; create recovery plans and drive resolution to closure.
  • Own project and portfolio financials, including revenue targets, margin management, forecasting, and reporting; identify levers to improve profitability.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal sales, account management, and delivery leadership to drive overall customer success and account health, serving as a key liaison between clients and delivery teams.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives, to drive clear decision-making and alignment around program goals and trade-offs.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across geographies and time zones, elevating delivery quality, efficiency, and professional growth; coach other PMs/TPMs as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including leading difficult conversations with clarity, empathy, and accountability, and fostering a culture of transparency and feedback.
  • Facilitate innovation forums, workshops, and/or onsite sessions to accelerate value realization, stakeholder alignment, and adoption of data and AI solutions.

Practice & Firm Contribution

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of phData delivery best practices, playbooks, templates, and KPIs for program and portfolio management.development and refinement of phData
  • Document and enhance processes for planning, executing, and governing complex programs, including standards for status reporting, escalation, and change management.

  • Champion process improvement, automation, and the use of AI and tooling to streamline operations and improve the efficiency and predictability of delivery across the portfolio.

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, helping them “look around corners,” anticipate risks and opportunities, and shape long-term account strategies.
  • Lead account planning and roadmap activities in partnership with sales and delivery leadership, aligning programs to broader client and phData objectives.
  • Drive account growth through identification and pursuit of upsell and cross-sell opportunities for data and AI solutions, working closely with sales and solutioning teams.

Required Experience

  • 15+ years of Technical Program Management experience delivering complex, multi-workstream initiatives, with hands-on ownership of customer relationships, timelines, scope, budgets, and resources (architects and engineers) for data and AI projects (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma).
  • Strong background in program and portfolio management for data platforms and analytics initiatives, including experience coordinating across multiple workstreams and teams.
  • Hands-on experience managing programs that leverage modern data and analytics technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma).
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and strong understanding of Waterfall, with the ability to select, tailor, and blend approaches based on client context and desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and Microsoft 365 (Excel), including strong technical and process documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, exercise sound judgment, and escalate with clarity when needed.

Consulting / Delivery Skills 

  • Proven experience delivering projects for external clients in a consulting or professional services organization, including navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Consistent track record of managing multiple customers concurrently while maintaining high billable utilization and achieving on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; produces executive-ready updates and communicates clearly with C-level stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to connect strategic objectives to program and project outcomes, crafting clear narratives that articulate ROI and value realization.

Collaboration & Ownership

  • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, uniting diverse, distributed teams around shared goals.
  • Proven people management experience leading high-performance teams, including mentoring, coaching, and supporting career development.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, excelling at time management and prioritization across competing initiatives while maintaining accountability for outcomes.

Education - If desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related technical field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP and CSM certifications strongly preferred; additional relevant credentials are a plus.
  • Experience managing large strategic customer portfolios (e.g., >$10M) and growing accounts through upsell and cross-sell of data and AI solutions.
  • Experience designing and leading executive-level enablement such as ROI snapshots, case studies, and internal success stories for sponsors and stakeholder groups.
  • Prior experience working in global or remote teams and partnering across US, LATAM, and/or India.
  • Experience documenting and institutionalizing best practices, playbooks, and delivery KPIs across a portfolio of programs.

Location & Time Zone Expectations
