Overview
As a Sr. Product Manager for Android MDM at JumpCloud, you will lead the evolution of the Android management platform within a unified 'open directory'. Unlike standalone MDM tools, this role focuses on treating the device as a critical extension of a user's identity, ensuring that Android endpoints are seamlessly integrated into JumpCloud’s broader identity, access, and security stack.
Job Summary
The Product Manager, Android MDM owns the roadmap for JumpCloud’s Android Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM). You will be responsible for bridging the gap between native Android capabilities and JumpCloud’s core pillars: Identity, Access, and Device Management. Your goal is to provide IT admins with a single console to manage Android devices alongside Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, all while leveraging JumpCloud’s unique conditional access and SSO capabilities.
Why This Role is Different at JumpCloud
At JumpCloud, you aren't just managing a device; you are securing a 'gateway to resources'. You will contribute to a platform that displaces legacy systems by offering a single, cloud-native source of truth for an organization's entire IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities & Integration into the JumpCloud Stack
Unified Device Strategy: Define the roadmap for Android management that aligns with JumpCloud’s cross-OS vision, ensuring parity and ease of use across all managed endpoints.
Identity-Centric Management: Integrate Android device posture into JumpCloud’s Conditional Access policies, allowing admins to grant or deny access to resources based on whether an Android device is encrypted or compliant.
Zero-Touch & Lifecycle Automation: Own the end-to-end lifecycle for Android devices, from Zero-Touch enrollment to automated offboarding, triggered directly by JumpCloud’s Directory Insights and user lifecycle events.
Managed Google Play Integration: Lead the development of software management features that allow admins to curate and deploy private and public apps through the Managed Google Play Store.
Security & Compliance Enforcement: Design policies for Work Profiles (BYOD) and Fully Managed (COPE) scenarios that enforce JumpCloud’s security standards, such as mandatory MFA and full-disk encryption.
Cross-Functional Platform Collaboration: Work with the Identity and Directory teams to ensure Android devices are automatically grouped and managed based on user attributes (Attribute-Based Access Control)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in Product Management, with at least 3 years focused on Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) or MDM.
Deep Android Expertise: Technical mastery of the Android Enterprise (EMM) ecosystem, including enrollment methods (QR, Zero-Touch), DPC (Device Policy Controller), and Work Profiles.
Platform Thinking: Experience building products that must integrate into a larger platform ecosystem (SaaS, Identity, or Directory Services).
Security Mindset: Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and how device health informs access decisions.
Analytical & Customer-Driven: Proven ability to use Directory Insights and customer feedback to prioritize features in a fast-paced agile environment.
Communication: Strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership
