The Opportunity
“As a Senior Platform Engineer/SRE Engineer, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud-native platform infrastructure. This role will be key in building and maintaining scalable, resilient systems that support our engineering teams in delivering innovative solutions efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate will bring solid technical expertise in platform engineering practices, SRE & DevOps methodologies, and infrastructure automation.” - VP, Cloud Engineering
What You’ll Contribute
Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS public cloud platform via Infrastructure as Code.
Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging CloudFormation, Terraform, and GoLang.
Design and implement Kubernetes-based platform solutions with focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
Support and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate infrastructure as code practices.
Automation and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Develop automation to build and deploy Docker Containers through CI/CD pipelines for engineering teams deploy and test services.
Write policy & standard validation tests and integrations with Security Scanning software to ensure compliance.
Implement and support Observability solutions to ensure platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
Create Dashboards and integrate into Backstage IDP for visibility into system health.
What We’re Seeking
7+ years of experience in cloud & platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles with demonstrated growth.
Strong proficiency with AWS cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and cloud native services.
Deep Knowledge of AWS EKS or running multiple Kubernetes instances, VPC Configuration, AWS Waf, S3, RDS, and other cloud services.
Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes application delivery.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, GoLang, and Python for resource provisioning and deployments.
Experience with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions. Experience with Crossplane a plus.
Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio and Envoy.
Programming skills in GoLang and/or Python for building platform tooling and automation.
Experience with Grafanna, Otel, and Backstage.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively on technical initiatives.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Understanding of SRE or Software Engineering practices and principles.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer) preferred.
