MyFitnessPal’s Business Intelligence team seeks an independent, self-motivated product analytics leader to join our dynamic environment. This high visibility role involves partnering with engineering, product, and finance to guide strategy and drive pivotal business decisions. As a Sr. Manager of product analytics, you will lead an analytics team, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to drive our freemium business.
What you’ll be doing:
Oversee in-depth experimentation to support the mobile app including,
Proper design, implementation, and interpretation of results A/B/N testing
Advise on analysis design where traditional A/B/N tests are not applicable (e.g. matched market testing, pre vs. post analysis, etc)
Advance product and analytics competency around hypothesis creation and rapid experimentation
Lead a small team of analysts, ensuring effective collaboration and prioritization across product squads
Manage the team’s work assignments and deliverables
Improve testing velocity and status communication back to partners
Influence product direction through clear and compelling presentations to leadership
Identify and measure the success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key product metrics to understand trends
Democratize data and develop well-used reporting for product and leadership teams
Tackle challenging analytics problems alongside analysts and data scientists

Qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
A minimum of 8 years of work experience (6+ years with a Master’s Degree) in applied analytics, including a minimum of 2 years of experience managing analytics teams
Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)
Experience initiating and completing analytical projects with minimal guidance
Experience communicating results of analysis to senior leadership
A/B/N testing including optimal sample size and experiment duration determination, significance of results calculation
Intellectual curiosity!
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field.
Experience working in technology, consulting, or finance.
Proven track record of leading high-performing analytics teams
Experience with AB testing tools like Split.io
Tableau analysis, data source creation and visualization
Experience with product analytics tools like Amplitude
Background in B2C freemium subscription model analytics

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at MyFitnessPal ranges from $139,600 - $190,000. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, MyFitnessPal offers a wide range of comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, parental planning, mental health benefits, annual performance bonus, a 401(k) plan and match, responsible time off, monthly wellness and technology allowances, and others.
