Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Ads ML Platform

Ads ML Platform engineers are focused on designing and implementing ML infrastructure solutions for ads modelling teams. The team’s projects involve building & maintaining large-scale online inference and feature serving, ads feature engineering platform, and the model training platform.

As a Senior machine learning systems engineer in the ads ml platform team, you will own and build platform components to improve modelling velocity and infrastructure efficiency. Your work will empower the Ads organization to achieve revenue and advertiser-facing goals.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end design and execution of ML-infrastructure modules for Features, Embeddings, RecSys, Model Training/Inference/Prediction

• Developing state-of-the-art ML Training and Inference frameworks and Platforms

• Building and optimizing ML distributed systems, with low latency and high volume

• Collaborating with machine learning modelling teams and Reddit core platform team to improve modelling velocity and infrastructure performance & cost

• Leading the processes needed to improve operational stability, including improving code quality, delivering dashboards, and creating data visualizations

• Partnering and leading other engineers to implement your technical designs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands on experience and deep understanding of infrastructure, especially with scaling and optimizations

• 2+ years of hands on experience with ML operations at scale (inference, training, feature serving, feature engineering infrastructure) ideally using well-known frameworks

• Experience with building and scaling infrastructure powering ads, recommendation, search, or other distributed systems.

• Significant experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (Go, Java, Scala, C++, Python)

• Deep expertise in Backend engineering, distributed systems, databases, etc
