The Team:

The Senior Immigration Specialist holds an independent position within Kraken's Global Benefits team, which is composed of 6 individuals.

Note: This position is a fixed term of 6 months.

The Opportunity:

  • Initiate immigration cases with appropriate vendors and manage those cases throughout their lifecycle including; completing any required forms or attestations, providing updates to impacted business leaders and employees, and reviewing exception requests.

  • Collaborate with immigration law firms to help facilitate visas for the global organization.

  • Ensure all documents are compliant and timely while ensuring that internal record keeping is up to date.

  • Find opportunities to streamline the immigration process to reduce or mitigate costs without impacting the quality level of service.

  • Develop and present education communication materials associated with the immigration policy to help drive awareness and consistent execution across the business.

  • Facilitate annual global mobility processes including US H-1B Cap Season.

  • In collaboration with Global Benefits Leader develop, review, and update global mobility policies and processes to ensure compliance with all available guidelines.

  • Assessing immigration eligibility for Krakenites and determining the most suitable immigration pathways.

  • Preparing and filing immigration applications and supporting documents.

  • Researching and staying up-to-date with changes in immigration law and policy.

  • Tracking and monitoring immigration cases and applications.

  • Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in immigration practice.

  • Manage the business travel visas and supporting documentation.

Skills you should HODL:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in immigration and mobility.

  • 7+ years of directly related experience coordinating, overseeing, and administering global mobility including global immigration programs.

  • Ability to track and manage multiple projects, initiatives, and deadlines.

  • A strong understanding of immigration laws and regulations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and departments on multiple projects.

  • Highly organized, operationally astute and data-oriented.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to details and high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

  • Willingness to embrace change, self motivated and proactive learner.

  • Exceptional customer service, written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Workday experience preferred.

  • Benefits experience is a plus.
