Senior DevOps Engineer

While this is a remote position and we can hire across Europe, candidates in Portugal, Spain or Malta are preferred.

Raketech is quickly establishing itself as one of the leading affiliates and performance marketing actors on the iGaming market. To support and accelerate our global growth, we are now looking for a Senior DevOps  to join our Cloud Infrastructure team.

We are on the lookout for an experienced, fast learning and dynamic candidate that has a drive for solving problems and a passion for continuously improving reliability, scalability and performance of all our systems and platforms. The candidate should be comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-paced, remote-first environment.

As 'Senior DevOps' you are expected to …

• Continuously improving reliability, scalability and performance of all our systems and platforms.

• Monitor, prevent and resolve incidents across the systems and assets

• Automate workflows to speed up project development

• Work closely with Dev the development teams supporting and to optimizing deployments, configurations, incidents and CI/CD workflows

• Facilitate the development, containerization and deployment of traditional and headless WordPress applications, JavaScript and Laravel/PHP web applications, and API services

• Support in On-Call rotations

• 8+ years of experience working as a DevOps/SRE Engineer

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Proactive, driven and with the ability of working independently

• Extensive experience with

  • Managing Linux servers (Apache and Nginx)

  • CI/CD automation using Gitlab

  • AWS and their cloud services (especially ECS, Fargate, RDS, S3, Cloudwatch)

  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)

  • Containers (Dockers) and containers orchestration

• Experience with:

  • WordPress setups at large scale

    • Optimising and standardising code deployment

    • Developing update strategy

    • Dealing with high production traffic

    • Cost optimization

  • Laravel

  • Monitoring and performance testing tools and practices

  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

  • Amazon ECS

• Knowledge of GitOps

• Fluent in spoken and written English

• Scripting experience (preferably bash and/or python)

Nice to have:

• Software development experience with PHP
