The Data & AI department is seeking a talented and passionate (Senior) Data Scientist to join our Network Domain team. The role involves leading the end-to-end delivery of complex data science projects, driving technical excellence and actively mentoring other team members.
Job Description
On a daily basis you will:
Partner with our product and business teams to understand their needs and translate them into data science solutions and actionable insights.
Lead the full lifecycle of data science initiatives and advise on solution design.
Develop and implement advanced data science solutions (including ML models, AI products and optimisation frameworks).
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of data-driven initiatives.
Stay ahead of the curve by exploring cutting-edge methods and keeping up to date with new trends in data science and AI.
Communicate insights and recommendations to management, business teams and other members of the data community.
Qualifications
Must have:
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Data Scientist applying data science methods at scale.
Excellent knowledge of ML solutions and their impact on business, user experience and operational processes (supervised and unsupervised learning, e.g.: clustering, regression, classification, time series, geospatial analysis, etc.)
Proficiency in Python and ML/data analysis libraries (Pandas, Polars, PySpark, Scikit-learn), gradient boosting and deep learning frameworks.
Experience in building models used in production by a large number of users and hands-on experience with large data sets.
Experience and knowledge of relational databases and cloud solutions (e.g. Databricks, Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake).
Experience in writing well-structured code, including functions, classes and modules.
Proficiency in code testing and best practices for writing readable code, conducting technical reviews, and ensuring maintainability.
Knowledge of ML Ops and experience with data pipeline frameworks such as Kedro.
Very good command of English, both spoken and written (B2+ level).
Nice to have:
Specialised knowledge in one or more of the following areas: logistics, geospatial data science and graph methods.
Higher education in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, econometrics or a related field.
Strong technical and/or research background.
