Senior Data Engineer & BI Developer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer & BI Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll contribute to the development, maintenance, and operational support of modern data pipelines and business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining data engineering with reporting and visualization while supporting both project delivery and day-to-day production operations.

What You'll Do Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain data transformation workflows using dbt.

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources.

• Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using Alteryx.

• Create and maintain Python scripts to automate data processing and pipeline tasks.

• Ensure data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and well documented.

• Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshoot pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring production issues.

• Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.

Data Visualization

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy.

• Translate business requirements into intuitive and effective reporting solutions.

• Optimize dashboards for usability and performance.

• Support existing reports by resolving issues, improving functionality, and ensuring successful data refreshes.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Analytics development.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Hands-on experience with dbt.

• Experience building data preparation workflows using Alteryx.

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern data pipeline development.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.

• Experience developing dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

• Experience supporting both project-based development and production (RunOps) environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.

• Familiarity with data warehousing and dimensional data modeling concepts.

• Previous consulting or enterprise environment experience supporting production data platforms.
