Our Senior Big Data Engineers are experienced technologists with technical depth and breadth, along with strong communication skills working in global teams. In this role, you will work directly with customers and our team to help enable innovation through continuous, hands-on, deployment across technology stacks. Your responsibilities will encompass building data pipelines, developing data engineering pipelines, writing data engineering code for data queries and algorithms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Build complex ETL code 

• Build complex SQL queries using Postgres, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, MariaDB, MySQL 

• Work on Data and Analytics Tools in the Cloud 

• Develop code using Python, Scala, Java, or R languages 

• Work with technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, etc. 

• Build complex Data Engineering workflows 

• Create complex data solutions and build data pipelines 

• Establish credibility and build impactful relationships with our customers to enable them to be cloud advocates 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in quantitative areas such as Computer Science, Information Management, Big Data & Analytics, or a related field is desired 

• 5+ years design & implementation experience with distributed applications 

• 3+ years of experience in database architectures and data pipeline development 

• Demonstrated knowledge of software development tools and methodologies 

• AWS, GCP And/Or Azure Public Cloud skills and experience 

• Preference for candidates with the following certifications - AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C03) Azure Data Engineer Associate 

• Preference for candidates with experience in open-source table formats, including Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg, and Databricks Delta Lake 

• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers 

• Proficiently navigate time zone differences to effectively collaborate with our distributed teams in North America and Egypt, demonstrating flexibility in adjusting work hours when required to synchronize efforts and ensure smooth communication 

• Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations 

• Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background desired 

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
