In 1956, a coffee ship arrives from Brazil, triggering controlled chaos at port. Every item requires manual handling - loading, unloading, counting, and tracking. Longshoremen haul diverse cargo: crates, sacks, and wooden barrels. Damage and loss are common. Unloading a single ship takes days.

Malcolm McLean envisions a solution: the standardized shipping container, revolutionizing global commerce. Loading times shrink from weeks to hours.

Just as containers standardized physical goods movement, payment cards standardized money movement.

As a member of the cards experience team, you’ll be working on the most critical touchpoints in our product — between our users and the lifeblood of their business. For entrepreneurs, capital's value lies in deployment, not storage. That's where cards make the difference.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Work closely with designers and product leaders to deliver lovable experiences around card issuing and management

  • Build the infrastructure to ensure our cards work reliably & securely with all partner banks

  • Work on a team that is on the cutting edge of payment technology. We are constantly asking — what can a payment card be?

  • Empower entrepreneurs with smoother cash flow & secure spending.

The Ideal candidate for this role:

  • Has 4+ years of software development experience, with a knowledge of or excitement to learn Haskell

  • Product thinking is paramount. You should be passionately customer and product minded and have shipping, and iterating on critical products.

  • Has made architectural decisions in the past and measured the impact of those decisions over time. You should be able to clearly articulate your technical opinions and lay out tradeoffs.

  • Has strong prioritization skills. We have to focus on what’s essential. You need to know when to commit and how to say no.

Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry.
