AffiniPay is looking for a Tech Lead to help us harness Artificial Intelligence in order to improve the lives of our customers. You will help build new and delightful product features, develop powerful new capabilities for our users, and optimize our robust computing platform. As a Tech Lead you will work with a team of engineers and product managers to design, implement, and maintain machine learning models and artificial intelligence services.  In this role you will also work closely with the Data team to determine how we can leverage the vast amount of data we have to better our tools, models and provide even more complex functionality into our product roadmap.

Your day-to-day:

• Convert business problems into technical solutions in collaboration with product/business stakeholders

• Work with product and leaders to identify new opportunities for AI solutions and help define product roadmap

• Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure they have the right AI services and models to deliver prototypes and production ready services

• Identify gaps in data and work with data, product, & engineering to fill gaps in data tracking

• Build and experiment with modeling and scoring algorithms as well as better providing necessary data and tools to our models

• Write Python code to gather and manipulate data, interact with langage models, and evaluate results.

• Create and curate large datasets, both from publicly-available sources and from Affinipay data stores

• Team up with our cloud operations team to deploy LLM-based applications to production, evaluating and improving their performance over time

What we are looking for:

• Someone who has built, maintained and deployed product ready AI services

• 5+ years of experience developing full stack software

• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex

• Experienced in building data infrastructure that is both scalable and extensible

• Experience working with AWS technologies in a cloud environment

• Experience building and deploying models into a broader ecosystem of technologies and services

• An engineer at heart

• Expert knowledge of AI frameworks, testing and workflows

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (computer science, engineering, etc)

• Experience working with and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) 

• Knowledge of building end to end ML systems and deploying them to operate at scale a plus

• Experience integrating models into streaming data flows

• Experience with Natural Language Processing

• Exposure with topics in Fintech and or the legal industry a plus
