The Senior Actuarial Analyst will be a member of the team supporting the Individual Exchange market product line.;
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Exchange pricing activities such as rate development, preparing rate filings and responding back to regulatory authorities
- Develop analyses that support the identification of meaningful medical and pharmacy cost trends, collaborating with subject matter experts to identify root causes of trends
- Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections
- Develop analyses to support risk adjustment optimization and reporting
- Participate in strategic discussions and supports strategies for healthy and sustainable growth
- Developing presentation materials and communicating results of actuarial analyses to various stakeholders
- Developing actuarial models
- Uses best practice models and other industry recognized pricing tools
- Applies actuarial principles in the performance of job responsibilities.;
Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum three (3) years of post-graduate Actuarial experience
- 3+ actuarial exams
- Strong knowledge of Excel, SAS/SQL, and database applications used for analysis
- Programming experience in Python or R is a plus
- Strong project management skills
- Strong ability to work on a team/communicate effectively
- Experience with ACA is desired
