We seek energetic technical Security Architects (SAs) to secure our customers' Snowflake environments. SAs are passionate about security, often involving tremendous technology challenges that require no simple solutions. SAs exhibit flexibility and willingness to roll up their sleeves and do whatever makes Snowflake and our customers successful. Success requires working collaboratively with a broad range of people inside and outside the company.

AS A SECURITY ARCHITECT AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Secure Snowflake using best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer so that customers are appropriately enabled and can extend the capabilities of Snowflake security on their own

  • Work hands-on with customers to unblock technical issues and explain options and recommendations

  • Support other members of the Professional Services and Support teams to develop their expertise

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously advance the Snowflake services and community.

SAs have broad skills and experience in security, networking, identity, and other access control features. A Snowflake Security Architect will have the following profile on Day One:

  • Minimum five years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing and DNS

  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, including cloud service providers like Azure, AWS, and GCP

  • Strong understanding of identity management use cases, including authentication (SAML), authorization (OAUTH), and identity governance (SCIM & RBAC)

  • Deep experience with large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)

  • Understanding of the data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics tools

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, and APIs

  • Outstanding skills in presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos

  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS software
