About the Role: 
BlueVoyant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purview Sales Engineer to join our growing Sales Engineering team. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on helping enterprise organizations enhance their data security, compliance, governance, and risk management capabilities through Microsoft Purview and BlueVoyant's managed security services portfolio. 

As the Microsoft Purview subject matter expert within our Sales Engineering organization, you will partner closely with direct sales teams, channel partners, customers, and internal delivery organizations to drive new business and accelerate revenue growth. You will play a critical role in identifying customer challenges, designing tailored solutions, delivering compelling demonstrations, and showcasing the business value of BlueVoyant's services and Microsoft security technologies. 

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Microsoft Purview and the broader Microsoft Security ecosystem with a proven track record of supporting complex enterprise sales cycles. You are comfortable engaging with both C-level stakeholders and technical practitioners, translating sophisticated security concepts into clear business outcomes, and helping customers navigate their data security and compliance journeys. 

This position reports to the Manager of Sales Engineering and offers the opportunity to shape customer strategy, influence product direction, and contribute to the continued expansion of BlueVoyant's cybersecurity business. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Partner with direct sales teams and channel partners to develop pipeline opportunities and successfully close new business 

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for Microsoft Purview solutions across customer engagements and partner-led opportunities. 

  • Discover, assess, and document customer business, security, compliance, and data governance requirements. 

  • Design and position comprehensive Microsoft Purview and managed security solutions aligned to customer objectives. 

  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept sessions for both technical and executive audiences. 

  • Articulate the value of BlueVoyant's cybersecurity services, technology stack, and competitive differentiators throughout the sales process. 

  • Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and service delivery teams to develop solution architectures and scopes of work. 

  • Lead or support technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and procurement activities. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on data security, compliance, governance, and risk management best practices. 

  • Support channel partners as the regional technical point of contact for Microsoft Purview-related opportunities. 

  • Provide customer and market feedback to help refine BlueVoyant's service offerings and go-to-market strategies. 

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Security technologies, cybersecurity trends, AI-driven security solutions, and the competitive landscape. 

  • Contribute to internal enablement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring efforts across the Sales Engineering organization. 

  • Travel up to 30% as required for customer meetings, partner engagement, and industry events. 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Proven experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity sales opportunities from discovery through close.  

  • Demonstrated success helping drive revenue growth, achieving quota objectives, and influencing complex sales cycles. 

  • Strong experience selling or supporting Microsoft Purview solutions, including Data Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, Data Lifecycle Management, Compliance Management, and eDiscovery capabilities. 

  • Deep understanding of enterprise cybersecurity technologies and managed security services. 

  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft security technologies, including: Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender Suite, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Security Center, Azure Log Analytics, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance solutions. 

  • Strong knowledge of security operations and technologies, including: SIEM, SOAR, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Threat Detection and Response, Firewalls and security infrastructure, AI-driven SOC platforms. 

  • Experience assessing customer environments and developing detailed scopes for both professional services and managed security engagements. 

  • Strong understanding of log management strategies, data ingestion practices, and security monitoring requirements. 

  • Experience delivering compelling technical demonstrations that help win net-new business and expand existing customer relationships. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams. 

  • Experience working effectively with channel partners and alliance organizations. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and customer-focused environment.
