Principal Project Manager

Blackbaud, a SaaS solution provider that powers Social Good through software, services, expertise, and data intelligence, is seeking Project Manager who excels at driving outcomes across cross-functional teams.
What are we looking for
You’ll lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives end-to-end—aligning Product, Engineering/IT, Data/Analytics, Ops, Finance, and Business teams—ensuring clarity of scope, disciplined execution, and effective risk/issue management in a matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Apply both Agile and traditional project management methodologies and experiences, develop project plans defining, scope, timeline, risk & outcome of one or more projects.
Proactively identify cross-team dependencies and integration points, create mitigation plans.
Drive project governance cadences (kickoffs, weekly standups/scrums, risk reviews, steerco).
Align priorities and resources across teams; negotiate trade-offs and sequence project work to minimize bottlenecks.
Own the translation of project outcomes into executable scope and milestones and maintain an end‑to‑end project plan addressing critical paths, risks, and dependencies across IT & Business Operations teams.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders; tailor communications for execs vs. working teams.
Partner with business leaders to translate departmental challenges and priorities discussed in EBRs/QBRs into structured project scope, and guide delivery teams to achieve intended outcomes.
Lead and support road mapping and prioritization initiatives, assuming end‑to‑end ownership of roadmap creation for designated domains.
Identifies and directs changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.
Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous work situations
Required Experience and Skills:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires 5 years of applicable program/project management experience
PMI certification is preferred.
Experience working in cross-functional or matrixed environments
Experience managing global or distributed teams
Knowledge and application of business process analysis methodologies
Outstanding analytical, consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
Understanding of computer technology, methodology, and life-cycle development principles
General understanding of applications development environment, databases, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
