What your impact will be:

  • Benefits Administration:

    • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other offerings.

    • Enroll new employees in benefit plans and process qualifying life event changes.

    • End-to-end management of the annual open enrollment cycle and communicate plan changes effectively.

  • Leave of Absence Management:

  • Administer leave of absence processes, including medical, personal, disability, and FMLA

  • Interpret FMLA and ADA implications and partner with People Partners to support employees during leave of absence. 

  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.

    • Prepare and file required reports, including Form 5500 and ACA filings.

    • Update and maintain benefit policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.

  • Employee Support & Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees’ benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

    • Provide education and resources to help employees understand and maximize their benefits.

    • Address and resolve employee concerns and escalate complex issues to management or vendors when necessary.

  • Vendor Management:

    • Partner with benefits providers to ensure seamless service delivery.

    • Evaluate vendors and assist in negotiating contracts and renewals.

  • Data Management and Analysis:

    • Maintain accurate benefits records and employee data in HRIS systems.

    • Analyze benefits usage trends to recommend program improvements or cost-saving opportunities.

  • Program Development:

    • Support the design and implementation of new benefits offerings to enhance employee satisfaction and competitiveness.

    • Collaborate with HR leadership on wellness initiatives and incentives.

What you will bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR function.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state benefit regulations.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms (Workday preferred).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
