As a Marketing Technical Specialist, you’ll play a key role in helping our global marketing teams create targeted and personalized experiences. You’ll own the infrastructure that powers segmentation, ensuring marketers reach the right audiences efficiently and effectively. This role blends technical curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration to drive measurable impact across marketing channels.
What You’ll Do
Own and optimize HubSpot’s segmentation infrastructure to enable accurate audience targeting.
Partner with marketers to understand needs, remove friction, and improve segmentation processes.
Manage segmentation system limits and collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure scalability and reliability.
Explore and implement AI-driven and data-integrated solutions that expand what’s possible with audience segmentation.
Build documentation and train marketers to enhance self-service segmentation and audience-building capabilities.
Analyze system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and impact.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and familiarity with object structures (Contacts, Companies, Deals).
Experience building segments in CRMs, data warehouses, or marketing data platforms.
Experience with automation and data sync tools (e.g., HubSpot workflows, Workato, Zapier, or Census).
Nice to have Qualifications
Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude)
Experience navigating data warehouses and query languages (e.g. writing SQL queries to return data in Snowflake)
Knowledge of (or ability to learn) core programming languages, along with an understanding of how systems connect and communicate.

Work Preference: This role is remote-friendly, with the option to work hybrid or onsite if you’re based near our Cambridge, MA office.

Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
