IntelligentInvesting Securities Inc. (formerly MogoTrade), a subsidiary of Orion, is a dual-listed fintech company (TSX/NASDAQ) focused on building innovative financial infrastructure across wealth management, payments, and capital allocation.
We are seeking a Licensed Trader to join our IntelligentInvesting team and play a key role within our Trading and Operations function. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and Ultimate Designated Person (UDP), working closely with both Compliance and Operations to support our expanding client base.
This position is ideal for someone passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and interested in the evolving world of investments and fintech. As a Licensed Trader, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding service to our members while ensuring trade requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Base Salary for this role: $60,000 - $75,000
What You’ll Do:
Take IntelligentInvesting Securities Inc. member’s buy/ sell orders, made through our app, for stocks, ETFs and other investment products, and write trade tickets
Verify sufficient information has been provided in order to process a trade
Ensure member orders are tagged correctly and executed as per instructions
Provide customer service to our members on the phone, through email, and chat
Confirm member identity in order to ensure instructions can be executed
Process member instructions with regard to voluntary re-orgs
Input member instructions with regard to changes in registered account beneficiaries
Complete internal account transfers and transfers in/out of securities from/to external institutions
Check and investigate buy/ sell orders and report back to members
Ensure proper settlement and delivery, escalating any discrepancies as required
Maintain accurate daily records of trades
Perform daily reconciliations with our Custodian
What You’ll Bring:
Background in customer service in the Banking or Investment industry, experience supporting an app based product would be a bonus
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct Practices Handbook (CPH)
Completion of the 30-day training program as defined by CIRO while employed with a Dealer Member firm on a full-time basis
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask and reprioritize on the fly
Solid experience resolving customer situations
Must be bilingual (English/French)
