Lead Technical Program Manager - FinOps

About Us

HubSpot is on a mission to help millions of organizations grow better. Our Infrastructure Team lays the foundation for this work by providing a secure, reliable, performant and cost-effective platform that product engineers can rely on to rapidly build new features and capabilities. As our business continues to grow exponentially, customers adopt our AI offerings and the whole industry moves to usage based billing, cost transparency and efficiency become even more important. Understanding our cost, running lean and setting fair, competitive prices is critical to provide outsized value to our customers while maintaining industry-leading gross margins.

The Role

The Foundational Infrastructure organization is looking for an experienced FinOps TPM to help us maximize the business value of our cloud infrastructure investments. In this role you will bridge the gap between infrastructure, product engineering and finance teams. You will foster a common understanding through clear stakeholder communication, help us identify and systematically close gaps in cost-transparency, set up light-weight governance processes for capacity planning where missing and drive cross-team initiatives to improve efficiency. Your role will have a substantial, measurable impact on HubSpot’s bottom-line, sustainability (e.g., carbon foot-print) and our ability to innovate for our customers. Your goals will be visible up to the C-level and your work, while challenging, fully supported by leaders across organizations.

How We Work

At HubSpot, we deliver with HEART (Humble, Empathetic, Adaptable, Remarkable, Transparent). We focus on brilliant work, not badge swipes. This role is open to remote candidates or those who wish to work out of our global offices. If you want to solve tough, real-world challenges in collaboration with smart, supportive peers, let’s talk!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional cost-visibility, capacity planning and infrastructure scaling or  efficiency initiatives to align product growth with resource availability and cost.

  • Develop, implement, and automate data-driven forecasting models that guide key infrastructure investments, using modern analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python).

  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and cloud operations to ensure proactive and responsive capacity scaling—balancing growth, redundancy, cost, and performance.

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reporting, and automation that provide visibility into system utilization, resource allocation, and efficiency.

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of cross-team programs, including capacity planning.

  • Identify and drive process improvements in infrastructure provisioning and monitoring, using industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably within Cloud/SaaS environments and infrastructure/capacity planning.

  • Experience with Cloud Service Providers, containerized services, infrastructure-as-code, and distributed (database) systems.

  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills, including experience with usage forecasting and cost analysis.

  • Proven ability to lead multi-team programs in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or scaling automation/tools for infrastructure capacity management.

  • Track record guiding enterprise-scale SaaS infrastructure, including multi-region, multi-cloud, or hybrid deployments.

  • Familiarity with supply chain management for cloud or physical hardware resources.
