YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

As a lead engineer on the team, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of fellow Nunas, build foundational tools/services which will shape the future of Nuna. A successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across the development lifecycle, from coding to deployment.

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of tools and automation frameworks that improve developer productivity, streamline development workflows, and enhance code quality

  • Architect scalable and extensible systems and platforms that enable seamless integration of third-party tools, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and monitoring solutions

  • Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies across engineering teams, ensuring consistency, reliability, and maintainability of codebases

  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends in the developer productivity landscape, and make recommendations for adoption based on their potential to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to align Developer Productivity initiatives with business objectives and strategic priorities

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a focus on developer productivity, tooling, and automation

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript, and experience with modern software development frameworks and tools

  • Solid understanding of cloud development and proficiency with Infra-as-Code technologies

  • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), build systems, and package managers

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, agile practices, and DevOps principles

  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to drive consensus on technical decisions and priorities cross-functionally

  • Passion for mentoring and coaching engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Contributes to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals

  • Ability to adjust quickly to a fast-paced startup environment

  • Familiarity with US Healthcare and a desire to improve it

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $188,000 to $230,750. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
