Role Description
The HubSpot Ops team is seeking a Lead Monetization Analyst to help the most important product pricing and packaging decisions, grounded in data, customer insights, and strategic thinking. The Lead Monetization Analyst will be responsible for owning business performance reporting and supporting pricing and packaging decisions for ‘Hubs’ (Hubspot’s Marketing, Sales, Service, and Content Hub products). This is an individual contributor leadership role, intended for individuals who have demonstrated the capability of taking on cross-functional, complex, and mission-critical projects and delivering success.
In this role, you will:
Own the end-to-end process for pricing and packaging proposals—from development through cross-functional alignment, executive decision-making, and shepherding to implementation—to drive Hub monetization
Ground recommendations based in proactive pricing strategic thinking, data analysis and modeling, and competitive intelligence/knowledge of the competitive landscape
Deeply understand Hub performance and be able to report out on key trends to inform product partners and help inform future monetization decisions
To be successful, you will need to:
Become an expert in Hubspot’s financial and customer usage data
Develop compelling narratives for a C-Suite audience grounded in strong data analysis
Partner with product leaders to make decisions as a strategic advisor
Drive cross-functional workstreams from metric definition to data instrumentation
Translate ambiguous business questions into discrete analyses with concrete recommendations
Lead through the example of your work by delivering projects that set the standard for utility, completeness, accuracy, interpretability, and extensibility
We are looking for people who have:
Relevant experience in data analytics and/or pricing strategy
Track record of driving organization-wide impact in a business environment, influencing decision-making with data; ideally working with cross-functional, executive (C-level) stakeholders
Expert financial modeling skills
Experience with enterprise-scale analytics architectures built for a variety of applications (beyond SQL transformations/reporting, ideally Looker, HEX)
Ability to write performant, complex SQL queries combining multiple sources of data
Expertise with data analytics and statistical tools such as R or Python preferred
Confidence with a variety of analytical techniques; expertise with a subset
Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills
Demonstrated passion for teaching, mentoring, or developing teams - particularly without direct management
Cash compensation range: 138500-221600 USD Annually
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
