Lead, Fraud Analyst
About the role
We're looking for a Lead Analyst, Fraud Strategy to help us optimise our fight against fraud using the latest technology techniques. This role will sit in the fraud strategy and analytics team which plays a key role in setting out the roadmap to an efficient and scalable fraud function, which will grow with the ambitious plans for the business.
Working together with Product and Commercial Managers, the Lead Analyst will have a team that will perform analysis to enable us to spot the latest fraud trends and then be a driving force in setting the requirements to develop solutions.
On the technical side, you will be working with a wide variety of technologies, data sets, and techniques to drive real insight and identifying improvements. You’ll need to be comfortable choosing the right tool for the job.
Reporting to the Fraud Strategy Senior Manager, you will:
Work in a collaborative and cross-functional way to identify, quantify and make data driven business decisions to reduce our exposure to fraud
Champion the use of data to optimise the way we combat fraud in the business and bring fresh ideas on the analytics that can add value
Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across the entire business to prioritise and translate compliance and business requirements into innovative solutions
Identify opportunities for improvement of the current methods through data - analysis, AB testing, tracking, and creation of self-serve tools
Present results back to the business in a structured, data-driven manner - simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences
An ability to see the bigger picture: a problem solving approach that gets to the underlying business questions, using a variety of data sources and information
Passion for learning, able to quickly adopt new business concepts and technologies
Independent, curious, and likes to take initiative
What we’re looking for from you…
Significant experience in fraud and ideally fraud analytics
Very strong technical skills (SQL, Tableau, Python, etc) and able to handle complex data structures from multiple sources
Experience with fraud detection tools and improving/optimising the coverage
Excited about working in a fast-changing environment and have the ability to adapt to the business challenges in front of you
Strong stakeholder management to be able to communicate clearly with other parts of the business, explain fraud and our processes and also manage expectations.
Experience reviewing, documenting and optimising business processes, isn’t a must have but would be advantageous.
