Lead Apparel Designer
About the Role
We’re looking for a Lead Apparel Designer to join our apparel team and help shape the creative vision behind one of the most recognized creator-driven brands in the world. This role is perfect for someone who lives at the intersection of youth culture, lifestyle apparel, and storytelling, and can translate big ideas into world-class product design. You’ll lead the creative direction and execution of all graphics across our apparel lines. From concept and visual storytelling to final production, ensuring every piece connects emotionally with our fans while pushing the boundaries of what creator-led merchandise can be. What You'll Be Doing
Own the creative vision for graphics across all apparel categories — from core basics to limited-edition drops and collaboration capsules.
Lead concept development for seasonal stories, special collections, and culturally relevant campaigns that resonate with youth and young adult audiences.
Build a team of contract designers, providing feedback, mentorship, and creative direction to maintain design excellence and consistency.
Trend Integration: Translate trend insights, cultural references, and youth-driven aesthetics into elevated, commercially viable designs.
Concept to Completion: Support the full design lifecycle from moodboarding and concept sketching to tech pack handoff and production-ready files.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product developers, brand managers, and licensing teams to ensure alignment on seasonal design strategies and timelines.
Product Mockups: Develop clear mockups and CADs for design presentations and approvals.
Brand Voice: Ensure all graphic outputs align with brand identity and tone, with special attention to the youth market (ages 6–18).
Innovation: Contribute ideas to improve print techniques, material pairings, and embellishments that elevate the overall product experience.
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience designing graphics for apparel brands, ideally with a focus on youth, streetwear, or entertainment/creator-driven merchandise.
Strong understanding of fabric treatments, print applications, and garment construction.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator a must); experience with Procreate, CLO 3D or other sketch/modeling tools a plus.
Demonstrated ability to forecast and respond to fashion, pop culture, and content trends relevant to Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
Proven portfolio showcasing innovative, fun, and relevant graphic work on physical garments.
Detail-oriented, able to work autonomously, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience collaborating in distributed teams and across time zones.
