Pomelo places the best offshore talent with top brands, startups, and agencies across the globe. We enable hard-working and ambitious talent to work remotely from their home countries, while gaining exposure into how the world’s top companies operate.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a senior-level Klaviyo Email & SMS Marketer with deep experience in Klaviyo to help manage the email marketing strategy of e-commerce brands. This is a technical and strategic execution role—no handholding, no fluff. You’ll own the implementation and performance of email flows and campaigns. That means managing everything from setup and QA to segmentation, testing, and reporting. You’ll also coordinate with our team and clients inside Slack—responding quickly, giving updates, and keeping projects moving. The right person is faster and better than most US-based freelancers—an executor with great instincts, strong systems, and performance-first thinking.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Flows & Automations
Build all core Klaviyo flows: Welcome, Browse Abandon, Cart Abandon, Checkout Abandon, Post-Purchase, Winback, and Review/Upsell.
Use advanced logic: conditional branches, profile filters, delays, exclusions, predictive analytics, quiz data, and order history.
Diagnose broken flows (e.g. inactive triggers, conflicting logic, missing profiles) and fix immediately.
Implement clean, performance-optimized flows with zero deliverability issues.
SMS Strategy (Required)
Build and schedule SMS automations and campaigns inside Klaviyo.
Manage quiet hours, compliance (TCPA), opt-ins, and unsubscribe logic.
Optimize SMS timing, sequencing, content length, and performance tracking.
Sync email/SMS sequences for maximum ROI across both channels.
Campaign Execution
Coordinate and launch weekly campaigns: testing, tagging, QA, inbox preview, and reporting.
Work with copy/design teams to finalize assets.
Do light design edits yourself when needed (e.g. headline spacing, image swaps, link corrections, layout tweaks in Klaviyo’s drag-and-drop editor).
Schedule and segment sends, manage approval process, and confirm inbox deliverability.
Segmentation & Deliverability
Create precise segments using AND/OR logic, event data, engagement, predicted LTV, and custom properties.
Run suppression logic, sunset flows, and bounce monitoring to keep sender reputation strong.
Warm domains, manage reply-to addresses, and ensure high deliverability for cold starts.
Split Testing (Required)
Run A/B tests across flows and campaigns:
Subject lines, CTAs, blocks, logic splits, send times, dynamic vs. static content
Set up clear hypotheses and success metrics.
Report test results with statistical confidence and recommend next steps.
Reporting & Analytics (Required)
Build weekly performance recaps:
Revenue by flow/campaign
Flow rankings
Deliverability stats
Engagement changes
Learnings + test recommendations
Know what the numbers mean—and what to do when they drop.
Project & Slack Management
Own timelines and updates inside Slack.
Respond to internal and client messages clearly, fast, and with solutions.
Handle basic task management, deadline tracking, and team coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
3+ years of hands-on Klaviyo execution (flows + campaigns)
Expert in SMS campaign + automation management inside Klaviyo
Deep understanding of Shopify + Klaviyo event data
Strong campaign QA instincts (email formatting, link tracking, mobile responsiveness, etc.)
Knows how to design inside Klaviyo, not just use templates
Fluent in segmentation, A/B testing, and attribution
Proactive on Slack and good at client-side updates (no ghosting, no missed pings)
Comfortable in Notion, GSheets, Slack, Figma
Professional fluency in English with excellent written, reading, and speaking skills
Access to a laptop/desktop with reliable and fast Internet connection
Ability to work in US time, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
BENEFITS
Competitive pay, always in US dollars
Work remotely from the comfort of your home
Health & wellness benefit
Paid holidays and time off
Performance and referral bonuses
Global exposure to the world’s best companies
