Infra Architect- VMware

Location- Anywhere in United States, remote

We are looking for Infra Architect- VMware for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage a large-scale VMware environment for large infra scope of + 10K Plus instances
• Plan, Install configure NSX-T and BAU support for NSX -T environment.
• Running Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
• Utilize VMware Aria (vRealize) Suite for automated IT operations management, ensuring efficient performance, and high availability.
• Expertise in vRealize Automation for streamlined cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Provide hardware implementation and support for Cisco UCS environment.
• Engineer virtualization solutions for large enterprise applications; provide operational support.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware SRM and at least one scripting language (PowerShell or Python). Participate in weekend maintenance and On-Call rotations.

Required Qualifications:

· Migration SME handling the migrations on to enterprise hybrid cloud environment including VMC on AWS, Azure AVS cloud solutions through HCX.

· Analyze, Architect, Build and upgrade Cloud Infrastructure as well.

· Virtualization Infrastructure that includes VMC on AWS, VCF, VMware vSphere, vCenter Server Appliance, ESXi, vRealize Operation Manager, vRealize Log Insight Manager, VSAN, NSX, NFS, VMware Update Manager, vSphere Replication.

· Expert knowledge of VMware, ESXi, vCenter, vROPS, HCX, vRO, NSX-T and vRA.

· Manage product code versions, hardware firmware/driver versions, cloud components, HCL compatibility. Wrote several scripts to automate.

· Lead team to patch/upgrade VMware infrastructure to meet 100% complaint, and zero vulnerable.

· Provide leadership and direction on client issues, and various projects.

· Lead team, conduct daily standup calls, get weekly win reports.

· Conducting new hire and provide training, standardize onboarding doc.

· Analyze client requirements, analyze client infrastructure, provide best solutions to improve client applications needs cost effectively. Manage multi-tenant solutions infrastructure.

· Handling Migration from Legacy environment to new Private cloud vCF, VMC on AWS, Azure AVS environments through HCX migration tool.

· Manage, support, upgrade, migrate which includes VMware products, vSphere, ESXi, VMware

· Integrated, VROP, VCF, VRLI, VIO, VSAN, NSX, VRA, VUM, VCSA, VIDM – VMware

· Identity Manager, SAML Authentication.

· Built VSAN and migrated and migrated to HPE with VMware VSAN. Lead and migrated off from Legacy IBM, NetApp hardware and migrated to HPE, VMware VSAN.

Salary and Other Compensation:

• The annual salary for this position is [$88,200 to $139,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
• This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
