The HR technology team at Twilio is undergoing a process to improve efficiency and process, streamline the technology stack, and embrace agile working methodologies to uplift the team and products we deliver. 

People Technology Operations Manager is an individual contributor role which will play a key role in establishing and supporting the HRTech roadmap by enabling an Agile way of working. The ideal candidate will effectively create the environment to frequently deliver high-value / high-quality programs, improve collaboration, remove impediments, limit team distractions, and introduce new practices to drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation. They will also work closely with HR Technology leadership to ensure accountability of budgets and vendor contracts. 

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Support adoption and consistent use of Agile techniques, tools, and standard practices to deliver advise teams, establish standards, improve communication, and support product owners

  • Drive and lead standups, roadmap reviews, and assist team leaders with their project execution plans. 

  • Establish and run consistent ways of working for the team through the project lifecycle: intake, reviews, prioritization, change management, go live, and support/maintenance.

  • Work to drive process improvements within the team and with key stakeholders (People CoEs, IT, etc).

  • Create the environment to frequently deliver high-value / high-quality programs, improve collaboration, remove impediments, limit team distractions, and introduce new practices to drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation

  • Serve as “Scrum Master” to multiple People Technology Sprint Teams supporting team members in applying Agile practices, frameworks, techniques, and behaviors to execute effectively and with quality

  • Support the HR Technology operations function including strategy initiatives, process optimization, internal business reviews, and budget forecasting

  • Leverage Operations Experience and Project Management skill set to help the team define work to be done (story writing), acceptance criteria, schedule/timing, effort estimates (pointing), and sprint plans

Required:

  • Technically savvy and experience with various communication tools such as Slack, G-Suite, and ServiceNow

  • Minimum 5+ years of operations and/or project management experience 

  • Working cross-functionally and cross-regionally, experience managing and influencing teams or roles who do not report directly to you

  • Demonstrated communication skills in both oral and written formats to increase understanding regardless of audiences, technical abilities, or status within the organization

  • Proven ability to analyze technical information, evaluate products, services and vendors, and make recommendations based on goals of project and organization

  • Ability to plan and organize time to be successful in environment of multiple deadlines and interruptions

  • Must be able to motivate others and reach success through their accomplishments

  • Must be able to respond and adjust to dynamic requirements, processes, and resources

Desired:

  • Previous experience as a project manager at a technology company. 

  • Experience with core HR Tech tools: Workday, ServiceNow, Greenhouse, JIRA, Eightfold.  Familiarity with common Talent Lifecycle tools like Gem, Cornerstone, Starred, and HackerRank, etc is a plus

Location

This role will be remote based in the U.S. but is not eligible for hire in CA, WA,NY,NJ,PA, or CT.

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $102,160.00-$127,700.00

  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
