The WebOps Team builds and maintains the public Datadog websites. We use Hugo/11ty, AWS, GCP, Gitlab, Terraform, Serverless, and of course Datadog itself. As a platform engineer on the team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify and build out automated solutions and functionality to help us scale. The platform team is responsible for maintaining the backend systems and services that are critical to supporting our content and publishing workflows as well as ensuring that our builds, websites, and integrated services are all operating reliably and easy to use.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Optimize the performance of Datadog’s public-facing websites

  • Build new areas of our corporate and documentation sites: new pages, templates, and UI elements using modern frameworks, tooling, and tests

  • Front-end development using Hugo/11ty static site generators, Webpack/ESBuild, SCSS, Vanilla JS, Bootstrap/TailwindCSS

  • Back-end development using Node.JS, Python, Go, and more

  • Ensure our build and deployment pipelines are operating efficiently.

  • Creating infrastructure as code for our cloud resources using Terraform

Who You Are:

  • You are a full stack engineer with approximately 2-4 years+ of web development, ideally working on large, public static websites

  • You are experienced with frontend and backend languages, including: HTML, CSS, Javascript/NodeJS, Python

  • Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab and GitHub Actions and working in cloud environments, AWS and GCP

  • You are fanatical about details: code style, exact rendering, performance, and good design

  • Bonus points: you have experience with Hugo, 11ty, Astro, or other static site generator

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)

  • Continuous professional development, access to Udemy courses, product training, and career pathing

  • Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking

  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)

  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our Internal panel discussions

  • Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+

  • Competitive global benefits

  • Team outings

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
