Position Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and business-driven Senior Analyst to supercharge Finance & Risk Analytics at Reddit. This role blends strategic analysis and operational data reporting, requiring problem-solving skills and logical reasoning to turn data into actionable insights. You will partner with cross-functional Finance teams, contributing to both strategic decision-making and recurring operational reporting.
What you’ll do
Partner with Finance teams to support strategic decision-making through data analysis and reporting.
Develop and implement analytics and reporting solutions that drive efficiency and innovation within Finance.
Design and maintain visually appealing dashboards and reports using tools like Google Looker and Hex.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for Finance stakeholders.
Build and maintain scalable analytical tools that support critical reporting and management processes.
Who You Might Be:
3 to 5 years' experience in business analytics, data analytics, data science, or a related analytical field.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience with platform technology companies is preferred.
A collaborative and proactive problem-solver with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of SQL/BigQuery and data automation. Machine learning experience is a plus.
Comfortable handling raw financial data from systems like NetSuite, Salesforce, and others.
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Tableau).
Understanding of ETL processes, including access management, monitoring, and quality control.
Strong communication skills, able to clearly articulate data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Solid grasp of financial and business concepts and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Proven ability to use data and critical thinking to solve business problems and generate insights.
Experience interpreting business logic implemented in code (Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus.
